If you use our Facebook App, this page explains how you can request the deletion of your personal data and what happens after you submit a request.

How to Request Data Deletion

You have two options to request deletion of your personal data associated with our Facebook App:

Option 1 — Request Deletion Through Facebook

  1. Go to facebook.com and log into your account.
  2. Navigate to Settings & Privacy → Settings.
  3. Click Apps and Websites in the left menu.
  4. Find our app in the list and click on it.
  5. Select Remove or Delete and follow the on-screen instructions.

This will revoke the app's access to your Facebook data and initiate the data deletion process with us.

Option 2 — Contact Us Directly

If you prefer, you can contact us directly to request deletion of your data:

Please include the email address or Facebook profile associated with your account so we can locate and delete your data.

What Happens After You Submit a Deletion Request

When we receive a valid data deletion request, we take the following steps:

  1. Confirmation — Within 72 hours, you will receive a confirmation email with a unique confirmation code and a status check URL.
  2. Data deletion — We will delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days of receiving your request, unless a shorter timeframe is legally required.
  3. Deletion completion — Once your data has been fully deleted, we will send you a follow-up confirmation email.

The data we delete includes:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Any content or data you submitted through the app
  • Any associated Facebook profile data we collected

Facebook Data Deletion Callback

Our app implements Meta's Data Deletion Callback as required by Facebook's Platform Policies. When you request data deletion through Facebook's app settings, Meta sends a request to our callback URL, and we process your deletion automatically.

Our system returns the following response to Meta upon receiving a deletion request:

  • The url field directs you to this page, where you can verify the status of your request.
  • The confirmation_code is your personal reference number for this deletion request.

What Data Is Not Deleted (Exceptions)

Please note that we may retain certain data in the following limited circumstances:

  • Legal obligations — if we are required by law to retain your data (e.g., for tax, accounting, or legal compliance purposes)
  • Anonymous/aggregated data — if data has been fully anonymized and can no longer identify you, it may be retained for analytical purposes
  • Data held by third parties — any data you have shared directly with third parties (outside of our app) is governed by those third parties' own policies

If any of these exceptions apply to your data, we will inform you in our follow-up confirmation email.

How to Check Your Deletion Status

If you submitted a deletion request and have not received a confirmation email within 30 days, please contact us:

Please include your confirmation code (if you received one) or the email address associated with your account so we can locate your request.

Your Rights

You have the right to request:

  • Confirmation of whether we hold your personal data
  • A copy of your personal data in a portable format
  • Deletion of your personal data
